This series of beacons runs on a preset schedule and are an ideal enhancement to school zone speed limit signs installed on the roads surrounding a schoolyard, or at crosswalks that would benefit from scheduled flash periods at the busiest times of day or night. They can also be used for roadways and highways that require warning beacons to be flashing during specific days and times, which can also be adjusted remotely on demand.

With the convenience of cellular communication, or direct-USB connection, these beacons can provide diagnostic feedback as to flash status, battery health, and activation counting, as well as visualization on a map for convenient quick status checks and monitoring. These beacons create a simple setup when mounted with warning signs, and our variety of mounting options makes them easy to mount above existing or new signs.

Our most popular crosswalk warning beacon, the Single-Sided RRFB is ideal for areas that need an attention-getting enhancement to signage facing one direction of traffic. The SZ-9207 features two 3” x 7” rectangular LED signals facing the driver and optional tell-tale LED(s) on the end(s) to indicate to pedestrians that the beacon is flashing.

For areas with curved roads or higher speed limits, additional advance RRFBs or other SZ series beacons can be installed to warn drivers up to 1/2 mile away with line-of-sight to the Primary beacon.
