The Indoor, Cabinet-Mounted Remote Transmitter is installed where there is an AC-power source and used to wirelessly activate one or more flashing beacons. Mounted inside a control booth, building, or traffic cabinet (or other weatherproof container), the AB-4612 has a switch for manually turning your beacons on or off as needed, and has a range of up to ½ mile, line-of-sight.
This transmitter is not solar, and has no batteries – it must be connected to AC power, and comes with an antenna for external mounting on the outside of a building or enclosure. This Transmitter is ideal for mounting inside of a fire hall, for quick activation of warning beacons as a fire truck is leaving the building.
It can also be used when remote activation for any of our AB series of beacons is required from another location within range:
Crosswalks | Great for any mid-block or uncontrolled crosswalk. |
Attractions | Casinos and amusement parks draw crowds of pedestrians across busy roads and byways. |
Fire Stations | Give your emergency vehicles a chance to enter the roadway by alerting drivers. |
Parking Lots | From shopping malls to private industrial sites, they’re all a hazard for pedestrians. |
Construction Sites | Aid pedestrians in crossing away from construction sites and closed sidewalks. |
College Campuses | Busy and packed with pedestrians. |
